With over a decade of professional experience, Abigiya Talihun is a Lead Researcher at the Centre for Implementation Science, Aklilu Lemma Institute of Health Research, where she leads the Data-Driven Healthcare Quality Improvement Research Theme, and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the School of Public Health, Addis Ababa University. Her work focuses on advancing public health through implementation research, teaching, and capacity building. Her research interests include the epidemiology of non-communicable diseases (NCDs), particularly women's cancers and mental health. Her goal is to generate evidence that informs health policies, strengthens healthcare systems, and improves health outcomes in Ethiopia and other low-resource settings. She has extensive experience leading collaborative research projects and has authored 41 peer-reviewed publications. In addition to research, she contributes to curriculum development and supervises undergraduate, MPH, and PhD students, helping build the next generation of public health researchers.
