Adeyeye Daniel is a bioinformatics researcher specializing in antimicrobial resistance, One Health, and pathogen genomics. He is currently a bioinformatics intern at HackBio, an organization dedicated to building bioinformatics capacity across Africa, where he applies bioinformatics and machine learning to investigate antimicrobial resistance. Before transitioning into computational biology, he gained over three years of practical experience in veterinary diagnostics, including pathogen detection and antibiotic susceptibility testing.
He holds a First-Class Honours degree in Animal Production and Health from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Nigeria. His research focuses on integrating genomic data and clinical metadata to improve antimicrobial resistance surveillance, with particular interest in exploring how these data can support resistance monitoring in settings with limited sequencing capacity. His broader interests include infectious disease epidemiology and the application of computational methods to strengthen evidence-based decision-making across Africa. He is also a student member of the American Society for Microbiology.
