Dorlim Moiana Uetela is an Assistant Professor at Eduardo Mondlane University, Mozambique. She holds a medical degree from Eduardo Mondlane University (2009), a Master of Health Sciences from the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation in Brazil (2015), and a PhD in Global Health (Implementation Science) from the University of Washington, USA (2023).

Dr Uetela has extensive experience in clinical practice, public health management, and both clinical and public health research. She worked for the Mozambican Ministry of Health from 2009 to 2011 as a physician and director of a district hospital.

Over the past 15 years, she has held several research and leadership positions at the Mozambique National Institute of Health (Instituto Nacional de Saúde, INS), including leading the HIV Cluster of the National Health Observatory and coordinating the Research Programme on Diseases of Major Public Health Impact.

Her research focuses on health systems strengthening and the evaluation of public health policies and programmes. She has led nationally relevant research initiatives, including contributing to the evidence base on differentiated service delivery models for HIV treatment in Mozambique.
