Dr Ganga Datta Nepal is a development planning professional specialising in Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), public health, climate change, and policy research, with over 30 years of national and international experience. He currently serves as Policy and Research Adviser for a UNFPA-supported project implemented by PeaceWin Nepal and previously served as Vice Chairperson of the Policy and Planning Commission, Bagmati Province. Internationally, he has led initiatives for the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the USAID-funded WASH-FIN Global Programme. He holds a PhD in Water and Climate Change from Tribhuvan University in collaboration with leading German universities, along with advanced degrees from Germany, Nepal, and the Netherlands. A DAAD and Netherlands Fellowship Programme scholar, he has published extensively, presented at international conferences, and chairs the Binod Nepal Smriti Foundation, promoting inclusive and sustainable development in Nepal.
