Getasew Amare Muche is a health economist, lecturer, and researcher in the Department of Health Systems and Policy at the University of Gondar, Ethiopia, and a PhD candidate at Curtin University, Australia. He heads the Department of Health Systems and Policy and is a researcher at the Centre for Digital Health and Implementation Science (CDHI). His work spans healthcare financing, strategic purchasing and provider payment reform, economic evaluation, and implementation science, using econometric and mixed methods approaches. He has led and co-investigated projects funded by the WHO, Gavi, USAID, UNICEF, and the Gates Foundation, including studies on Ethiopia's blended provider payment reforms and the political economy of health financing. With more than 42 peer-reviewed publications and regular commentary in national media, he generates policy-relevant evidence to support health system strengthening and financing reform in Ethiopia.
