Hamze Gas Dahir is Associate Dean of the School of Public Health and Nutrition at Amoud University in Borama, Somaliland, and a public health researcher with expertise in epidemiology, data science, and health systems research. He holds an MSc in Research and Data Analysis and a BSc in Public Health from Amoud University. His work applies spatial analysis, multilevel modelling, and time-series forecasting to public health challenges, with particular interests in infectious diseases, maternal and child health, health inequalities, climate-sensitive health risks, and progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals. He has published in peer-reviewed journals including PLOS One, Human Vaccines & Immunotherapeutics, International Journal for Equity in Health, Applied Economics, and Discover Public Health. Alongside research, he contributes to academic leadership, research capacity building, and community-based public health initiatives.
