Dr Mathewos Moges is an environmental health academic, researcher, and educator at Hawassa University, Ethiopia, with expertise in Environmental Health, Food Safety, Nutrition, and One Health. His research and professional work focus on food safety systems, environmental health, AMR, and One Health. He has led and contributed to multidisciplinary research, capacity-building initiatives, and community-based public health programs aimed at improving health outcomes and strengthening health systems. As a dedicated educator, Dr Mathewos is committed to mentoring future public health professionals and translating research into policy and practice. His current interests include advancing food safety governance, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, and promoting evidence-based solutions to address emerging public health challenges in Ethiopia and beyond.
