Dr Musonda Simwinga is a Senior Social Scientist and Community Engagement Lead at Zambart, with more than 15 years of experience conducting multidisciplinary health research in settings with a high burden of HIV and tuberculosis. His work combines social science, community engagement and public health research, with a strong focus on ensuring that communities are actively involved in the design, implementation and dissemination of research. A key aspect of his work involves building the capacity of community members to become equal partners in the research process and to contribute meaningfully to research priority-setting.
He is currently working on three studies that involve co-designing interventions with migrant youth and men to address how migration and climate change affect access to health services, particularly sexual and reproductive health and HIV services.
