Oumar Aly Ba is a PhD researcher at the University of Geneva, affiliated with the GeoHealth group at the Institute of Global Health and the Institute for Environmental Sciences, and with the Institute of Tropical Medicine Antwerp. His research examines how climate stressors affect health systems, maternal and child health, and access to preventive care in low- and middle-income countries. His current work studies whether extreme heat disrupts timely infant immunization, using geolocated household survey data linked to high-resolution climate exposure data across 41 countries. More broadly, his research combines econometric methods, spatial data, and global health evidence to understand how climate change may reshape health outcomes and the delivery of essential services.
