Dr Pépé Kpogomou is a medical doctor and research assistant at the Africa Centre of Excellence for the Prevention and Control of Communicable Diseases (CEA-PCMT) in Conakry, Guinea. He holds a Doctorate in Medicine and a University Diploma (DIU) in Global Health and Emerging Diseases, co-organised by the Universities of Montpellier and Gamal Abdel Nasser. Within the FA5 programme (ITM–Belgian cooperation), he contributes to the Discontinue_Cities and UrbanMat projects, which examine how rapid urbanisation is reshaping access to maternal healthcare across Greater Conakry. His work combines research protocol design, quantitative and qualitative analysis, electronic data collection (KoboCollect, SurveyCTO), and geographic information systems (QGIS, ArcGIS Pro).

At the 66th ITM Colloquium, he presents a poster on participatory healthcare facility mapping in a fast-growing city, showing how spatial tools can help health systems keep pace with cities in motion.
