Stefanie Dens is trained as an engineer-architect and urban designer, carrying out research at the Datahub and Socio-Ecological Health Unit at the Institute of Tropical Medicine, whilst pursuing a PhD in Design Sciences at the University of Antwerp.
"A situated understanding of malaria risks requires attention to the social and spatial histories of urbanisation, recognising that the production of urban environments and vector habitats is deeply intertwined."
